The residential and former commercial building was built in 1872/73 by Johann Romano and August Schwendenwein for Dominik Graf Kinsky.

A general renovation of the historic corner building, built in the New Viennese Renaissance style, took place. The façade, which was designed with classical balance and is monumental in the sense of the grandeur of Roman palaces of the High Renaissance, was renovated from the ground up, formed with a stone base and illuminated over the entire façade.
